To Whom It May Concern, 

I want to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Creative Care and The Cottage for the wonderful care they provided to my daughter and family.  As a parent struggling with a troubled daughter I was locked in the horror of watching my baby deteriorate with both alcohol and other drug dependency and emotional and behavioral problems.  As a teenager my daughter was sexually assaulted while attending a party.  I then witnessed a beautiful happy go lucky young women change for the worse.  She became depressed, sullen, and very anxious.  She turned to alcohol and other drugs to put some sense into her emotions.  Of course this just made the situation worse.  Our family then sought out what we thought would be best and sent her to an alcohol and drug treatment facility.  They did a nice job in addressing her chemical dependency but left her trauma issues alone.  She came out of treatment only to get worse.  I knew something was terribly wrong with my daughter and sent her to several psychiatrists who just increased certain medications she was taking in an effort to control her anxiety.  Things eventually progressed to where my daughter was having suicidal ideations. The hard part for me was I was supposed to have all the answers.  I am a treatment professional and was an executive of one of our countries most famous treatment centers for alcohol and other drugs.  I have worked in the field of addiction for over 33 years.  It was very hard to admit I had problems in my home and ask for help.  I finally called my friend Annette Hulette of Creative Care and asked for their assistance.  The caring and professionalism I found was overwhelming.  They assisted me in getting my daughter into treatment, even escorting her to the facility.  She was admitted into The Cottage where she remained for 90 days being treated for her dual problems, alcohol and other drugs and emotional behavioral issues.  Dr. Khaleghi and his team of professionals took such good care of her.  I had never seen her happier.  The treatment team was superb and the therapeutic environment, exceptional.  Not only did they take care of my daughter, but her mom, I, and two brothers were able to participate in family and conjoint therapies to put all of us on an emotional level never experienced before in our family.   
My daughter today is so much better than she was a year ago.  She still struggles as any young adult does, but now has the tools to deal with life on life terms so much better.  She is off all medications, is working full time, and attending community college.  Last year at this time she was thinking of committing suicide.  I am so grateful to have my daughter back.  When I went to pick her up at The Cottage after she was there for 90 days, I became very emotional.  I wanted her to stay!  Not to institutionalize her, but she was so safe when she was there.  Everyone was so loving.  Thank you so much Creative Care.
